The Estate
Two centuries on the banks of the rambla
HierbaBuena was once the heart of a large farming and livestock estate. Its stone walls, more than a metre thick, and the original roof beams still stand; its name recalls the wild mint — hierbabuena — that once surrounded it.
Three decades ago, a writer from Madrid fell in love with the place and restored it with great care, returning its stately air. Since then, several generations of one family have looked after it. Today it opens its doors while keeping its essence alive.

By day
Southern light on whitewashed walls
Slow mornings, the pool at midday and long lunches in the shade of the beams, with the breeze from the rambla setting the pace. Here, the day is in no hurry.

HierbaBuena is not an events hall: it is a house with a history that opens its doors to those who know how to enjoy it calmly. Long lunches, conversations under the stars, music that accompanies rather than takes over. Out of respect for the cortijo and the quiet that surrounds it, we do not host large-scale parties.
